Trained staff help participants manage everyday tasks and develop personal activities to encourage involvement in their communities. The service operates in Katherine, Nguiu and Daly River. The Save-a-Mate Our Way (SAMOW) program develops young people’s skills to look after themselves and provide peer support by delivering education, training, first aid services and support on health issues, particularly relating to alcohol and other drug use and mental health.
