Aboriginal communities of Mt Liebig, Papunya,
Titjikala and Santa Teresa.

Services Provided
Waltja Tjutangku Palyapayi Aboriginal Corporation is a community-based
Aboriginal organisation, working to support the self-determination of Aboriginal
people and families in remote Central Australian communities. Waltja’s name is
Luritja language and refers to “doing good work with families.” Waltja provides a
wide range of services, including:
• The Waltja Remote Reconnect Service, a community based early intervention
program for young people aged 12 to 18 years who are homeless or at risk of
homelessness and their families. Reconnect provides counselling, mediation,
group work and practical support in a culturally and contextually appropriate
way. It aims to help young people achieve family reconciliation and improve
their level of engagement with work, education, training and the community.
The Reconnect program is for young people and their families from Mt Liebig,
Papunya, Titjikala and Santa Teresa.
