The Aboriginal <strong>Mental</strong> <strong>Health</strong> Worker Program supports the employment of local<br />
workers at Galiwinku Elcho Isl<strong>and</strong>, Yirrkala, Angurugu Groote Eyl<strong>and</strong>t, Laynhapuy<br />
Homel<strong>and</strong>s, <strong>and</strong> Borroloola. Support is also provided for the delivery of training<br />
to workers <strong>and</strong> community around mental health issues, <strong>and</strong> the development of<br />
culturally appropriate resources.<br />
In Central Australia the “Strong Minds” team is funded to provide primary mental<br />
health services to remote communities <strong>and</strong> outstations at Yulara, Mutitujulu,<br />
Docker River, Imanpa; Wallace Rockhole, Areyonga, Hermannsburg; Kintore,<br />
Mt Liebig, Haasts Bluff, <strong>and</strong> Papunya <strong>and</strong> the recent short term additional<br />
communities of Yuendumu, Yuelamu, Willowra <strong>and</strong> Nyirripi.<br />
