Eligibility:
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people
aged 10-17 from Palmerston and the rural areas.

Hours:
Drop in Centre Mon to Thurs 2:30 pm - 5:00 pm,
Fri 2:30pm - 9:00pm, Sat 1:00pm - 4:00pm
Counselling Program Mon to Fri 9:00am - 7:00pm
Girls Group Tue 5:00pm - 7:00pm (during school
terms)
Boys Group Wed 5:00pm - 7:00pm (during school
terms)
Services Provided
The YMCA Indigenous Youth Counselling and Mentoring Service Drop In Centre
is a youth-friendly hangout space where young people can spend time. Qualified
youth workers are also available for support. The Drop In Centre also runs school
holiday programs, activities and excursions.
The YMCA also runs:
• an alternative education youth program which works directly with high needs
young people in schools where the young person is about to be excluded
from school.
