<strong>Services</strong> Provided<br />
CatholicCare N.T. provides 25 community service programs from its various<br />
locations. Amongst these are:<br />
• <strong>Alcohol</strong> <strong>and</strong> <strong>Other</strong> <strong>Drug</strong>s <strong>Services</strong> - HOPE Program, provided from the Darwin<br />
Office. This program is a family group program for persons experiencing<br />
problems from the use of alcohol <strong>and</strong> other drugs. It identifies the family as<br />
a particular focus for intervention, prevention <strong>and</strong> treatment. This program<br />
is also provided in Wadeye, Nguiu, Pirlangimpi, Milikapiti <strong>and</strong> other remote<br />
areas.<br />
• Katherine Family Link - a counselling service for individuals <strong>and</strong> families who<br />
have experienced sexual or domestic violence.<br />
• School Based Counselling - a counselling service for school aged children<br />
(transition to year 12) who may need counselling for family, school or personal<br />
issues. This service operates from CatholicCare’s Darwin, Alice Springs <strong>and</strong><br />
Katherine offices.<br />
• <strong>Drug</strong> <strong>and</strong> <strong>Alcohol</strong> Intensive Support Program for Youth (DAISY) - this service<br />
provides casework <strong>and</strong> individual support to young people (aged 12-19) <strong>and</strong><br />
their families who have been affected by drug <strong>and</strong>/or alcohol issues. This<br />
service operates from CatholicCare’s Darwin Office.<br />
• Family Coping - a program for Aboriginal <strong>and</strong> Torres Strait Isl<strong>and</strong>er families<br />
which provides support <strong>and</strong> coping strategies to people experiencing harm<br />
from a family member’s drinking. This service operates from CatholicCare’s<br />
Darwin office, with outreach to Daly River, Belyuen, Nguiu, Wadeye <strong>and</strong><br />
Pirlangimpi.<br />
