the DMU and DDU preparation courses.<br />

Easter holidays.<br />
We are indebted to Dr Glenn<br />
McNally, Sue Campbell Westerway,<br />
Jeni Kidd, Dr Rob Gill and Dr Andrew<br />
McLennan, all of whom have worked<br />
tirelessly with the ASUM Secretariat<br />
and in particular, Keith Henderson, to<br />
present to our members a quality program<br />
of workshops. These workshops<br />
are very popular and fill up quickly.<br />
This year, we have invited two very<br />
special overseas presenters, Prof Alan<br />
Cameron and Dr Ashley Robinson.<br />
Prof Cameron is a Consultant<br />
Obstetrician and Head of Fetal<br />
Medicine at the Queen Mother’s<br />
Hospital, Glasgow. His specialist areas<br />
are prenatal diagnosis and fetal therapy.<br />
He trained in Glasgow, Newcastle and<br />
Canada and has published widely on<br />
the subject of high-risk pregnancy.<br />
Prof Cameron is the Scottish members’<br />
representative on the Council of<br />
the Royal College of Obstetricians and<br />
Gynaecologists. He is also a member<br />
of Council of the Royal College of<br />
Midwives, a founder member of the<br />
British Maternal and Fetal <strong>Society</strong> and<br />
a member of the International Fetal<br />
Medicine and Surgery <strong>Society</strong>.<br />
He is a reviewer <strong>for</strong> the British<br />
and American Journals of Obstetrics<br />
and Gynaecology and <strong>for</strong> the Journal<br />
of <strong>Ultrasound</strong> in Obstetrics and<br />
Gynaecology. He is an editor of the<br />
first international CD text of fetal ultrasound.<br />
His current research interest is the<br />
development of in utero keyhole surgical<br />
techniques in an attempt to improve<br />
the outcome <strong>for</strong> babies with congenital<br />
mal<strong>for</strong>mations.<br />
Dr Robinson did his radiology<br />
training in Manchester, UK, followed<br />
by three fellowships in general paediatric<br />
radiology, paediatric interventional<br />
radiology, both at the Hospital <strong>for</strong> Sick<br />
Children in Toronto, Canada, then ultrasound<br />
at the University of Cali<strong>for</strong>nia,<br />
San Francisco. He is currently a radiologist<br />
at the Children’s and Women’s<br />
Hospital of British Columbia, Canada,<br />
specialising in fetal imaging and pediatric<br />
intervention.<br />
His awards include the Derek<br />
Harwood-Nash Award from the<br />
American <strong>Society</strong> of Pediatric<br />
Neuroradiology, the Ella Preiskel Prize<br />
in Pediatric Radiology from the Royal<br />
College of Radiologists (UK) and<br />
the John Kirkpatrick Award from the<br />
<strong>Society</strong> of Pediatric Radiology.<br />

ISUM seeks speakers <strong>for</strong><br />
Jakarta meeting<br />
An email broadcast was sent out to<br />
members in December 2007, with a<br />
request from the Indonesian <strong>Society</strong><br />
<strong>for</strong> <strong>Ultrasound</strong> in Medicine (ISUM)<br />
<strong>for</strong> speakers to present at the <strong>Society</strong>’s<br />
meeting in Jakarta on 21st–22nd<br />
November.<br />
The ASUM Executive had approved<br />
support <strong>for</strong> ISUM by sending one or<br />
two speakers to present at the meeting.<br />
The 6th Asian Breast Diseases<br />
Association (ABDA) Teaching Course<br />
will be held in conjunction with the<br />
17th Annual Meeting of the Indonesian<br />
