year. Its annual average price increased of
3.82% when compared to the previous year.
CORIANDER
The monthly Average Wholesale Price
shows an decreasing trend during the fasli
year with the maximum price stood at
Rs.5907.92/- and the minimum price was
Rs.4395.19/-. Its annual average shows a
decrease of 29.14% over previous year.
TURMERIC
The monthly Average Wholesale Price
of Turmeric shows a increasing trend during
the fasli year with a slight decrease during
January and February 2010. Its annual
average price shows a steep increase of
131.35% over previous year.
Tamarind
The monthly Average
Wholesale Price of Tamarind shows a
increasing trend during the fasli year. Its
annual average price shows a mild
increase of
0.13% over previous year.
10. COMPARISON WITH OTHER STATES
In India, rice is the major constituent of
food grains in general (apart from wheat) and
so the rice producing states are considered to
be the major foodgrains producing states. Out
of the total production of 234.47 million tonnes
of foodgrains at the national level as per the
final estimates for the year 2008-09 which is
