and blackberry are amongst the other riches of the region.
240 thousand types of plants bloom at different times and
colors in the National Park exhibit great landscapes, and
thanks to those many diversities, Yedigöller transforms into
a unique tableau.
The animal population of the National Park occupies
a considerable place in the natural life of the region.
Yedigöller and its vicinity accommodate mammal species
such as deer, roe deer, badger, weasel, rabbit, caracal,
boar, wildcat, squirrel, wolf, fox, and bear and more
than 100 bird species such as wild duck, wild pigeon,
woodpecker, turtledove, quail, sandpiper, starling, jaybird,
and partridge. Moreover there are some fish species such
as Dere Alası (trout), Gökkuşağı Alabalığı (rainbow trout)
and Kadife Sazanı in the lakes. Hand-line fishing is possible
in the Büyük Göl during the May-September season and in
the Derin Göl in September.

Don’t miss these stops!
• Kapankaya Tepesi (Kapankaya Hill). Don’t forget to go
up the terrace to take in the views of nature.
• You must see the Pythagoras tree where two trees
combine and form a right triangle.
• Making a wish at the Wishing Well Fountain, where
water resources combine to feed the lakes, is a Yedigöller
tradition. Don’t go without whispering your wish.
• Don’t forget to stop by and smile at the Smiling Rocks
that are named for their resemblance to a human’s smiling
face.
• Take a break at the Deer Breeding Station.
