Watercolor on paper, initialed and dated July 24,
1906, at bottom. Pleasant scene of oxen and a
wooded mill. Inked paper label on the back
indicating painter and ownership. In a mat and
frame, 12 1/4”h. 15 1/4”w.

DECORATED DOCUMENT BOX.
America, mid 19th century, Possibly Chester or
Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, pine. Black
and red paint and polychrome stencil decoration.
Square shaped box with fitted interior,
hinged lid, and brass handle. Top of lid is stenciled
with fruit and leaves and the front of the
box has a stenciled design of fruit and a bird.
The front center of the lid has a name “D.S.
Cloinger.” The locking mechanism is intact, but
not functional. Imperfections. 7”h. 15”w. 10”d.
