REVERSE PAINTED MIRROR.<br />

Possibly made by Benjamin Morrill,<br />

Boscawen, Merrimack County, New<br />

Hampshire, ca.1820-1830, wood and<br />

glass. Black and gold painted split spindle<br />

mirror with eglomise plate. Rectangular<br />

frame with applied split spindles with ring<br />

turnings joined by corner blocks. Upper<br />

plate eglomise with wide swags centering<br />

a barefoot girl holding a cat. Found in<br />

a New Hampshire home. 22 1/4”h.<br />
