bayonet marked “TN,” 21”l., and s/n 4309.<br />

Marked by Joseph Starkey, London, engraved blade with<br />

“U.S.N.”, openwork brass guard with “USN,” wire-wrapped<br />

sharkskin grip, and leather and brass scabbard. 29”l. blade.<br />

Joseph Starkey worked on Conduit Street in London from<br />

1859 until 1918. This sword was presented to Harry Mason<br />

Dombaugh of Marion, Ohio. He graduated from the U.S.<br />

Naval Academy and rose to the rank of lieutenant-commander.<br />
