Pennsylvania, ca. 1835. Bulbous form with<br />

domed final resting on a square base with<br />

paw feet. Elaborate decoration includes<br />

flowers, scrolls, and on either side,<br />

Neptune’s head and trident. Presented to<br />

Timothy Rogers, commander of the<br />

Commerce of Philadelphia, from the<br />

“Insurance Companies of the City of Phila.”<br />

flags, applied stars, and a<br />

shield on his breast that<br />

faintly reads "Chew Am Eagle<br />

Tobacco." Appears to retain<br />
