the flight member. If wingman is<br />

incapable of carrying out command, he<br />

will respond, "(x) Negative," or "(x)<br />

Unable," where (x) is the flight member.<br />

If AWACS/GCI has contact with an<br />

enemy aircraft then: "(a), (b), bandits<br />

bearing (x)(x) for (y)(y)(y). (c) (d),"<br />

where (a) is the callsign of the player, (b)<br />

is AWACS callsign, (x)(x) is the bearing<br />

to the threat in degrees, (y)(y)(y) is the<br />

range to the threat in miles if AWACS is<br />

western or kilometers if AWACS is<br />

Russian, (c) is the altitude of the contact,<br />

and (d) is the aspect of the contact.<br />

If AWACS/GCI does not have contact<br />

with any enemy aircraft then: "(a), (b),<br />

clean," where (a) is the callsign of the<br />

player and (b) is AWACS callsign.<br />

If enemy aircraft are within five miles of<br />

player then: "(a), (b), merged" where (a)<br />

is the callsign of the player and (b) is<br />

AWACS callsign.<br />

"(a), (b), Home bearing (x)(x) for<br />

(y)(y)(y)," where (a) is the player's<br />

callsign, (b) is AWACS callsign, (x)(x) is<br />

the bearing to the airfield in degrees, and<br />

(y)(y)(y) is the range in miles or<br />

kilometers depending on American or<br />

Russian AWACS.<br />

"(a), (b), Tanker bearing (x)(x) for<br />

(y)(y)(y)," where (a) is the player's<br />

callsign, (b) is AWACS callsign, (x)(x) is<br />

the bearing to the airfield in degrees, and<br />

(y)(y)(y) is the range in miles or<br />

kilometers depending on American or<br />

Russian AWACS.<br />

If no friendly tanker is present in the<br />

mission, then: "(a), (b), No tanker<br />

available"<br />
