2005 Highlights<br />
In 2005, we:<br />
• Expanded <strong>Intel</strong>’s innovative and<br />
successful Volunteer Matching<br />
Grant Program to <strong>Intel</strong> sites in<br />
China (Chengdu and Shanghai),<br />
Costa Rica, India, Ireland and<br />
Malaysia.<br />
• Set new records for employee<br />
volunteerism and coordinated<br />
more than 35 projects involving<br />
thousands of <strong>Intel</strong> employees to<br />
support Global Earth Day at our<br />
sites around the world.<br />
• Launched the Digital Transformation<br />
Initiative for the<br />
Middle East, a comprehensive,<br />
multi-year program expanding<br />
our economic, educational and<br />
technology-related support<br />
throughout the region.<br />
• Piloted the Community PC and<br />
Farmer PC, which are designed<br />
to meet the specific needs of<br />
rural, remote and agrarian-based<br />
communities in developing<br />
geographies.<br />
• Provided digital healthcare<br />
technology to village resource<br />
centers and mobile clinics in<br />
India and China.<br />
• Provided substantial financial,<br />
employee and technology support<br />
for disaster relief to stricken<br />
communities around the world.<br />
