unistat control V3.8.1
Appendix A - Program Directory
Program 38: Time interval for RS Record
The time intervals between the successive data sets can be selected, as they are produced
with program 40. Entry of seconds: The default value is 1 second. The limit is 90 min.
Program 39: Separation Signs for RS Record Type 2
The RS-Protocol-Data (see Program 40) can be transmitted via the serial RS232 interface of a
Pcand using standard software to store and display the data.
(for example: reading with a terminal program like the unistat monitor, display with Microsoft
Excel,…). Certain separators are sometimes requested between the measured values (in
tables it is the columns, the lines correspond with the data sets).
Program 39 offers the following selection:
(ASCII-hex-code) (decimal)
1. CR (carriage return) 0x0D (default) 13
2. LF (line feed) 0x0A 10
3. CR/LF 0x0D 0x0A 13 10
4. ‘;’ semi-colon 0x3B 59
5. ‘,’ comma 0x2C 44
6. space 0x2O 32
7. TAB (tabulator) 0x09 9
Program 40: RS report on
The unit status is being send in defined form to a connected PC via the interface RS232 of
the control unit (Plug Stv 12) using a Huber data transmission cable (order no 6146). The
relevant software is required for the PC (for example the unistat monitor), to analyse the
data. The report is sent in the time interval set with program 38. The protocol will end after
program 41 is called up.
All signs of the protocol conform to the ASCII-standard.
The transmission parameters:
• 1200 Baud (changeable with program 85)
• 8 data bits
• 1stop bit
• no parity bit
• no hand shake
Contents of protocol type 1 (see program 37)
1. group 3 synchronising bytes (0x3A, 0xFB, 0x57)
2. group form feed (0x0c)
3. group Date and time 18 bytes (day month year hour: minute: second: ending line feed
(0x0A))
4. group actual value internal
5. group actual value external
6. group set point value
7. group status flags
Format of group actual values/ set point value:
1. character: ‘+’, if the temperature value is >or 0
‘-‘, if the temperature value is < 0
2. character: hundred
3. character: tens
4. character: single
5. character: tenth
