As the FRD Chair, and in my own philanthropy,
I am passionate about securing the well-being
of our Jewish community as well as our people,
today and into the future. While we are a large
community, we are still very young compared
to cities like Chicago, Boston or New York,
where endowments have been in place for
generations. We’re committed to meeting the
ever-growing needs around us.
As I complete my three-year tenure as
Campaign Chair, I am thrilled to report that
our Annual Campaign is increasing. There’s
a buzz in the air. If you’ve come to some of
our dynamic campaign events recently, you’ve
seen and felt it. From our country clubs and
divisions, from Women’s Philanthropy, and
major donor functions to THE EVENT, the
revitalization of our campaign and community is unmistakable.
So I’m thrilled that we’re moving to a new stage of life as a
community, coming together to take great strides toward a
brighter Jewish future. Our Foundation’s brand new Promises Kept
Endowment Campaign has already brought in over $3.2 million
in received and expected dollars. The 15 local synagogue, agency
and school partners in our Create a Jewish Legacy program have
raised more than $4 million in expected funds as the initiative ends
its second year. In addition, 16 visionary women protected their
annual Lion of Judah gifts forever with generous endowments.
And our Annual Campaign is up with signs of growth and expansion
everywhere. Today, the future of our Federation is looking bright!

We’re reaching out wider and deeper than ever before to engage
people throughout our community at all levels – with new King David
Society programming, initiatives like Emerging Jewish Philanthropists,
the rejuvenated Business & Professional Division, young adult
activities and more. We’ve jumpstarted with Campaign Ignition and
restored the Campaign Cabinet. We’re traveling to Cuba, DC, Russia,
Greece and, of course, Israel, returning inspired to do more.
Looking back on how far we’ve come, I couldn’t be more proud.
As I move on to chair Planning & Allocations, please join me in
