What an incredible
year! I have never
been more proud of
our Federation and our
Women’s Philanthropy
Department! Not only
have we raised increased dollars
for our Annual Campaign, but we
have encouraged hundreds of new
and potential donors to be part of
our Jewish community’s mission of
outreach, engagement, tikkun olam
and tzedakah. We have proven that we
can truly do extraordinary things that
change the lives of those who need our
support both locally and globally.
Together we have made Women’s
Philanthropy a warmer, more inviting,
inclusive place where women can feel
proud to donate their time, expertise,
passion, resources and love. It truly
takes a village to accomplish our
goals. I am forever grateful for each
community member’s support and
encouragement during this past year,
as well as the commitment and vision
of our talented staff partners. It’s a
new day at our Federation. I am lucky
to be sharing these exciting times with
you. I know that next year will be just as
phenomenal...we are a great team!
Women’s Philanthropy
Installation Celebration
Celebrating another successful year and setting the scene for an outstanding
2013-14 season, 60 caring, committed and generous women gathered on
March 21 for the annual Women’s Philanthropy Board Installation Celebration.
Dorothy Wizer chaired the brunch event, which brought the warmth of spring
and family into Zinman Hall on the Federation campus.
Anne Jacobson conducted an inspirational ceremony to install the officers
who will lead Women’s Philanthropy into 2013-14, continuing to extend
WP’s warm, inviting and inclusive welcome farther into the community.
Dotti Seaman presented Barbara Lewin with the 2013 Dorothy Seaman
Leadership Award. Rabbi David Steinhardt provided a fitting d’var Torah,
and Lawrence Katz was on hand to receive kudos for Wells Fargo Private
Bank’s very generous 2013 sponsorship of the Dorothy Seaman Department
of Women’s Philanthropy.
