for You” event
brought fifty of our
community’s most
caring, generous
women to the
home and garden
of Judi Schuman,
Women’s
Philanthropy Vice Chair of Major Gifts, on March 7,
2013. The brunch gathering featured a powerful story
of tzedakah, tikkun olam and philanthropy from Katya
Potapova, American Jewish Joint Distribution Center
(JDC) Deputy Director for Community Development in
St. Petersburg, Russia. The JDC’s Josh Fogelson also
spoke about the agency’s important overall mission.
The guests also heard from Emily Grabelsky, Women’s
Philanthropy Chair. “Just for You,” chaired by Judi
Schuman, is especially for women who contribute to
the Federation’s Annual Campaign at the $10,000
Major Gifts level or higher.
