alexei and his wife, inna, have three children: Jessica (9), alexander (6) and Max<br />

(2)… They spend their offseasons in Toronto, and alexei enjoys fishing… He has<br />

been involved with Shoot for the Cure, a campaign of the american and Canadian<br />

Spinal Research Organizations… He started playing hockey at age 5 for Sokol<br />

Kiev… His favorite hockey player growing up was Wayne Gretzky and he lists<br />

Mats Sundin and Joe Nieuwendyk as major influences on his career… alexei’s<br />

favorite movie is The Hangover and favorite television show is deadliest Catch…<br />

His favorite food is olivie, a Russian salad that includes chicken, potatoes, peas and<br />

was reaching the conference finals with Toronto in 2002… His favorite road city is<br />

Montreal, and favorite arena is Bell Centre.
