2.6.15 Protection system<br />

Protection system <strong>of</strong> different equipment are used.<br />

2.6.16 Battery/ DC system<br />

<strong>Unit</strong> consists <strong>of</strong> 230 V DC System.<br />

2.7 Other electrical system<br />

a. One (1) lot <strong>of</strong> 400 V switchgear.<br />

b. Cables and wiring <strong>for</strong> interconnection between the equipment.<br />

2.8 Emergency Diesel Generating Set<br />

One (1) set <strong>of</strong> emergency diesel generating set (capacity 1000 KVA at 0.8 p.f.,<br />

1500 rpm) complete with ancillary equipment having diesel storage capacity <strong>for</strong> 24<br />

hours <strong>of</strong> continuous operation <strong>for</strong> supplying power to essential auxiliaries. EDG<br />

shall be <strong>of</strong> automatic starting system [compressed air/ Battery] including quick start<br />

& loading capability. The starting system shall be capable <strong>of</strong> carrying out at least<br />

five (5) consecutive start without auxiliary power supply. In case <strong>of</strong> power failure in<br />
