Office <strong>of</strong> the<br />
Director<br />
• Approves allocations from the Peace Officers Training Fund to provide law enforcement training, and to<br />
provide grants to cities, towns and counties for law enforcement training.<br />
• Provides training and related services to assist state, tribal and local law enforcement agencies to<br />
better serve the public.<br />
<strong>Public</strong> <strong>Safety</strong> Communications Commission (PSCC)<br />
• Promote real-time, interoperable communications between local, county, state, tribal, and federal<br />
public safety entities in the state <strong>of</strong> <strong>Arizona</strong> to effectively protect lives and property.<br />
• Promote the development and adoption <strong>of</strong> user based, standards-based systems.<br />
• Capitalize on opportunities to share resources and leverage existing infrastructure.<br />
• The PSCC staff will foster, recommend and develop technical standards; oversee conceptual and<br />
detailed design efforts; and pursue funding to build out and maintain a statewide system for use by<br />
all local, state, tribal and federal public safety entities in <strong>Arizona</strong>.<br />
