Intelligence Bureau / AcTIC<br />
• Manages the <strong>Arizona</strong> Counter Terrorism Information Center (AcTIC) a joint effort between the<br />
<strong>Department</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Public</strong> <strong>Safety</strong>, <strong>Arizona</strong> Office <strong>of</strong> Homeland Security, Federal Bureau <strong>of</strong> Investigation<br />
and participating agencies.<br />
• AcTIC provides tactical and strategic intelligence collection; analysis and dissemination support to<br />
local, state, tribal and federal law enforcement agencies and is the states central point <strong>of</strong> contact for<br />
criminal intelligence and counter terrorism issues.<br />
• Provides investigative support involving general, domestic and international related terrorism.<br />
• Operates a Watch Center for the monitoring and review <strong>of</strong> events occurring in <strong>Arizona</strong> and throughout<br />
the nation.<br />
• Identifies and completes background research on suspects involved in criminal activity and locates<br />
suspects under investigation by criminal justice agencies.<br />
• Reviews and analyzes evidentiary materials related to criminal activity and converts such materials<br />
into charts and reports.<br />
• Provides graphic support capabilities to law enforcement entities in suspect and location identification.<br />
• Publishes intelligence bulletins for dissemination to criminal justice agencies.<br />
• Publishes informational bulletins for dissemination to public and private sector agencies.<br />
• Administers the <strong>Arizona</strong> criminal intelligence database, a component <strong>of</strong> the Southwest Border States<br />
Anti-Drug Information System that provides criminal justice agencies in California, New Mexico,<br />
Texas and <strong>Arizona</strong> a network database <strong>of</strong> intelligence information.<br />
