Organization pr<strong>of</strong>ile<br />
LUREDERRA founded in 1999, is a non-pr<strong>of</strong>it private Technological Centre which performs Research &<br />
Technological Development activities on behalf <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> industry, followed by implementation <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong><br />
innovations developed at <strong>the</strong>ir production sites. The organisation is a Spanish CIT (Centre <strong>of</strong> Innovation and<br />
Technology) registered by <strong>the</strong> Spanish Ministry <strong>of</strong> Science with <strong>the</strong> number 98. Its main technological knowhow<br />
is related to <strong>the</strong> fields <strong>of</strong> nanoparticles, non-metallic materials, advanced environment and fine<br />
chemistry.<br />
LUREDERRA counts with modern facilities which include 5.500 m 2 industrial area, where <strong>the</strong> laboratories<br />
and industrial scale machinery are located. This fact makes easier <strong>the</strong> industrial explotation <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> results <strong>of</strong><br />
projects RTD to its clients. On <strong>the</strong> o<strong>the</strong>r hand, <strong>the</strong> most important asset <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> organisation is its very highly<br />
qualified personnel (over 50 people) from both technical and managerial points <strong>of</strong> view, and with extensive<br />
expertise in <strong>the</strong> design and execution <strong>of</strong> RTD national and international projects.<br />
Regarding international RTD projects, LUREDERRA has carried out a large number <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong>m related to new<br />
ceramic, rubber and plastic materials, innovative polymer recycling systems, new solid and liquid waste<br />
treatment systems developments, industrial production <strong>of</strong> advanced nanoparticles and nanodispersions for<br />
multisectorial applications, among o<strong>the</strong>rs. It is also worth highlight that <strong>the</strong> Centre is very active in EU<br />
Framework Programme projects (participating in 17 projects, 6 as Coordinator), as well as o<strong>the</strong>r international<br />
programmes such as EKA, INTERREG, LIFE+ , ERA-NET (Manunet, Lead-Era, Eurotransbio), and CIP.<br />
On <strong>the</strong> top <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> priorities is its focus on <strong>the</strong> market and on <strong>the</strong> industrial application <strong>of</strong> its developments;<br />
indeed it has several international patents, having also established in 2007 its first NTBFs (New Technology-<br />
Based Firms) for <strong>the</strong> industrial production <strong>of</strong> advanced nanoparticles, nanodispersions and nanoproducts<br />
with multisectorial applications, which is already top reference in such market as Europe, Asia, Russia and<br />
USA. The next outcome exploitation <strong>of</strong> RTP projects would o<strong>the</strong>r NTBFs in <strong>the</strong> field <strong>of</strong> polymer recycling,<br />
chemistry and <strong>nanotechnology</strong>, continuing thus with its strategy <strong>of</strong> creating new high-value industrial<br />
technology based-enterprises. These enterprises will be run by <strong>the</strong> Centre or jointly with <strong>the</strong>ir clients.<br />
