Nanoimmunotech is <strong>the</strong> first European company in <strong>the</strong> Nanobiotechnology sector, dedicated to <strong>the</strong><br />

biological and biological characterization (in vivo and in vitro) and physico-chemical characterization and<br />

to <strong>the</strong> conjugation (functionalization) <strong>of</strong> nanoparticles and products containing <strong>the</strong>m.<br />

The company has highly qualified and internationally recognized human resources, state-<strong>of</strong>-<strong>the</strong>-art<br />

laboratory capabilities, standardized protocols and finally, <strong>the</strong> know how to perform proper supervision,<br />

advice and validation <strong>of</strong> different nanosystems, as a first step to <strong>the</strong> previous use <strong>of</strong> nanoparticles in<br />

biotechnological applications for different sectors (biomedical, pharmaceutics, cosmetics, veterinary,<br />

agro-food, environmental, etc.).<br />

Main capacities in <strong>nanotechnology</strong>/nanoscience<br />

nitcharacter : Physico-chemical characterization <strong>of</strong> nanosystems:<br />

This service allows developing a complete physico-chemical characterization <strong>of</strong> nanomaterials, taking<br />

into account <strong>the</strong> different particularities <strong>of</strong> each case. For each application, nitcharacter will give to its<br />

customers <strong>the</strong> information <strong>the</strong>y need to improve <strong>the</strong> process <strong>of</strong> syn<strong>the</strong>sis and/or chemical<br />

functionalization <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong>ir nanomaterials. Nitcharacter <strong>of</strong>fers a structural characterization (NMR, IR, EM,<br />

MALDI, XRD, XPS), and microscopy techniques (TEM, SEM, SEM/FIB, AFM, confocal) and also<br />

chromatography techniques (GC, MPLC, HPLC, GPC).<br />

nitcharacter services not only consist in executing <strong>the</strong> physico-chemical measures <strong>of</strong> products, but also<br />

on <strong>the</strong> added value that it <strong>of</strong>fers to its customers through <strong>the</strong> interpretation <strong>of</strong> results and advices given to<br />

improve <strong>the</strong> syn<strong>the</strong>sis and properties <strong>of</strong> nanostructured materials.<br />

nitbiosafe : Biological (in vitro and in vivo) characterization <strong>of</strong> nanosystems:<br />

This service allows performing a full set <strong>of</strong> in vitro and in vivo assays to check <strong>the</strong> risks <strong>of</strong> our customers’<br />

nanomaterials: toxicity, biocompatibility (hemo- and cytotoxicity), biodistribution, immunogenicity, sterility,<br />

among o<strong>the</strong>r assays. Nitbiosafe services are based on standardized protocols and experimental<br />

environments that ensure optimal laboratory results, implementing USA recommendations and all EU<br />

regulation regarding nanosafety. Nanoimmunotech also counts with an animal facility that allows <strong>the</strong> use<br />

<strong>of</strong> animal models for in vivo confirmation <strong>of</strong> nanotoxicity and immunogenicity, <strong>of</strong>fering <strong>the</strong> ultimate<br />
