Organization pr<strong>of</strong>ile<br />
PRODINTEC is a technology centre specialized in industrial design and production. Our mission is to foster<br />
<strong>the</strong> competitiveness <strong>of</strong> industrial firms by applying technological advances both to <strong>the</strong>ir products and to <strong>the</strong>ir<br />
manufacturing and management processes. It is a private non-pr<strong>of</strong>it entity created in 2004 and was<br />
registered as an Innovation and Technology Centre (no. 99) by <strong>the</strong> Spanish Ministry <strong>of</strong> Industry on 2007.<br />
PRODINTEC is structured into six technological units:<br />
PRODUCT DESIGN that addresses all <strong>the</strong> stages <strong>of</strong> product design: strategic definition, concept<br />
design, detailed design, technical <strong>of</strong>fice and product engineering, and preproduction. It has several<br />
design s<strong>of</strong>tware tools: SolidWorks, Catia, Solid Edge, Ansys, RapidForm, Polyworks, among o<strong>the</strong>rs.<br />
PRODUCT ENGINEERING: definition <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> formal pr<strong>of</strong>ile <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> product; determination <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong><br />
technical specifications (drawings, materials ...); mechanical, electrical and electronic design; and<br />
definition <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> manufacturing system (including design validation in terms <strong>of</strong> use under realistic<br />
conditions). PRODINTEC has advanced s<strong>of</strong>tware to perform simulations using Finite Element<br />
Method (FEM), mechanical and electromechanical design and industrial process automation.<br />
INSPECTION PROCESSES. Different technologies for dimensional measurement and inspection <strong>of</strong><br />
products, as well as for improving <strong>the</strong> manufacturing processes.<br />
PROCESS ENGINEERING. Improvements in manufacturing processes, including: improvement <strong>of</strong><br />
production processes, reengineering <strong>of</strong> plants, industrial process simulation, design <strong>of</strong> job positions,<br />
etc.<br />
MANUFACTURING TECHNOLOGIES. PRODINTEC posses in-house cutting edge equipment for<br />
manufacturing, such as additive manufacturing withs several materails, robot machining, 5-axis high<br />
speed machining, micromachining, microinjection,…<br />
