In addition to working among the Afghan community in Fremont, California, one of CBF’s field personnel Fran
Stevenson and her husband Pete are now on the move. Encouraged by Crossroads Church, the Stevensons founded
Mobile Ministries, a missional partnering ministry. In June 2011, Mobile Ministries traveled to Homestead, Florida,
where the Stevensons worked with Open House Ministries, a holistic neighborhood center that provides a free
health clinic, sponsors a 12-step program, provides an emergency food pantry, and runs an after-school program
for children and teenagers. The couple taught classes and took part in Bible studies, sharing stories of Afghan
immigrants, as well as fixed storm doors and electrical failures. Pray that God will keep the Stevensons’ vision
strong and provide wisdom and guidance as they travel to bless other missionaries and develop new relationships.
CBF-endorsed 1st Lt. Chaplain Christina Pittman serves the 169th Fighter Wing at McEntire Joint Air Base in
Eastover, South Carolina. The pilots of the F-16 and mission support were recently deployed to Afghanistan
and other assignments overseas. Pray for the airmen returning from deployment as they reintegrate into their
communities, families, and full-time civilian jobs. Pray for the new course, Spiritual Resiliency, and for the Strong
Bonds retreats for airman and their families. Pray for Christina Pittman as she ministers among the mission support
units alongside her chaplain assistants as well as for the three worship services in which she leads music and
frequently preaches. Pray that God will grant her wisdom as she gives support to leadership and brings a religious
perspective.
