Through the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship’s Member Care and Wellness Program, professional counselors and
health-care providers volunteer their time to keep CBF field personnel and their families physically, emotionally, and
spiritually healthy. They also provide resources when field personnel and their families experience an emergency
or crisis. Pray that our field personnel remember to take time apart for their own prayer and study as they share
God’s love with others. Pray that they find rest so they can continue to serve, to play, and to work. Pray also for the
volunteers who walk faithfully with CBF field personnel in this process.
Rina worked in an open-air market selling vegetables, and Norita worked as a maid cleaning houses. Both girls came
to Malaysia with dreams of earning money and helping their families, but both became trapped in modern-day
slavery. Both worked 16-hour days, seven days a week without freedom. Rina had not been paid in over a year. She
ran away five times and each time was brought back and beaten. Norita said nothing but bore burn marks on her
arm. Approximately 2.4 million people are victims of human trafficking worldwide and are illegally traded for the
purpose of forced labor. Pray that God and the church will empower CBF field personnel who work to fight human
trafficking. Pray for the recovery of the victims. Join the anti-trafficking effort by connecting with the CBF Justice
