insl each other on several Twin
creens. The most unusual booking
situation came at the Har-Mar Theatre in
St. Paul, a twin-screen house. It played both
movies, with "Rocky" in its 14th week still
outgrossing "The Greatest" in its debut
stanza.
The St. Paul Dispatch review of "The
Greatest" got right into the Muhammad Ali
habit of spouting rhymes. It opened with:
"Oh boy, gee whiz, golly gee: here's a movie
about Muhammad Ali; though it doesn't
reallj live up to its name; it'll please a lot
ol fans just the same." The review coneluded
with: "Though 'The Greatest' is
punch) and socky, if it's all the same to you,
we'll stick with 'Rocky.' "
