DR. NORM TARBOX<br />
VICE PRESIDENT<br />
ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES<br />
Dr. Norm Tarbox is <strong>Weber</strong> <strong>State</strong>’s Vice-President for Administrative Services. He<br />
began his service at WSU in 2002. A native of Taylorsville, Utah, Dr. Tarbox graduated<br />
from Cottonwood High School and attended Snow College where he played on the<br />
baseball team.<br />
Tarbox graduated from BYU with a BA degree in Communications where he was<br />
named the “Outstanding Student” of the Communications department. He later obtained<br />
an MBA from BYU. He went on to earn an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership and<br />
Policy from the <strong>University</strong> of Utah. Dr. Tarbox came to WSU from the Utah <strong>State</strong> Board<br />
of Regents where he worked in various capacities for 10 years. He served as the Assistant<br />
Commissioner for Student Financial Aid, Assistant Commissioner for Finance and<br />
Facilities and Associate Commissioner for Finance and Facilities.<br />
From 1993 to 1996, he worked in the governor’s offi ce as a budget and planning analyst. His wife, Maurie,<br />
completed a bachelor’s degree in Music Performance. She and their four children have performed in Utah Musical<br />
Theatre productions at <strong>Weber</strong> <strong>State</strong>.<br />
AMY CROSBIE<br />
ASSOCIATE ATHLETIC DIRECTOR<br />
SENIOR WOMAN ADMINISTRATOR<br />
Amy Crosbie was named the Associate Athletic Director and Senior Woman Administrator<br />
at <strong>Weber</strong> <strong>State</strong> <strong>University</strong> in March of 2010.<br />
Prior to being named Associate Athletic Director, Crosbie spent the past 7 years as the<br />
Assistant Director of Student-Athlete Services at Utah <strong>State</strong> where she was an Academic<br />
Advisor and the CHAMPS Life Skills Director for the Department of <strong>Athletics</strong>. During her<br />
time at Utah <strong>State</strong> she fulfi lled academic duties for Men’s Basketball, Men’s Golf, Women’s<br />
Softball, Soccer, Volleyball and Men’s and Women’s Track and Field. She also chaired the<br />
Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and taught an athletics section of connections, USU<br />
1010, which is taught to all incoming student-athletes during the Fall semester.<br />
She currently serves on the DIA National CHAMPS Board and was a two-time NCAA<br />
Regional Leadership Facilitator. She is currently a mentor to new CHAMPS coordinators<br />
for the NCAA/CHAMPS Life Skills Program, now known as NCAA Student-Athlete Affairs.<br />
Crosbie, who graduated from Utah <strong>State</strong> <strong>University</strong> in 2002 with a degree in Family and Consumer science, spent<br />
two years as an assistant coach for the Aggies Volleyball program prior to working in academics. Crosbie was a<br />
four-year letter winner for Utah <strong>State</strong>’s volleyball team from 1997-2000 as an outside hitter and helped lead the<br />
Aggies to their first-ever NCAA Tournament in 2000 as USU advanced to the second round.<br />
As the Associate Athletic Director, Crosbie oversee’s Compliance, Academics, Strength and Conditioning, and is<br />
a sport administrator for the following sports; Men’s and Women’s Golf and Men’s and Women’s Tennis.<br />
Crosbie was born and raised in Visalia, California and attended Redwood High School. Amy and her husband Jeff<br />
have two daughters: Kiera and Ellie.
