2011 Big Sky Honorable Mention<br />
After a strong junior season Mike returns for his senior year with the Wildcats in<br />
<strong>2012</strong>. He will be one of the captains on this year’s team. He was named to the College<br />
Football Performance Awards (CFPA) preseason quarterback watch list. He sat out the<br />
spring <strong>2012</strong> season after surgery on his throwing shoulder. Entering <strong>2012</strong> he is 194-307 for 2,499 career passing years and<br />
22 career passing touchdowns. He ranks 17th in school history in career passing yards. He has a completion percentage<br />
of .632, which is the best percentage in school history of quarterbacks with at least 2,000 career passing yards. He has just<br />
fi ve career interceptions and has rushed for 274 career yards and seven touchdowns.<br />
2011 (Junior)<br />
Played and started in 10 games for the Wildcats during the season...Earned Big Sky Honorable Mention All-Conference<br />
honors after a strong season at quarterback...Finished the season 12th in the nation and third in the Big Sky in pass effi<br />
ciency at 150.2...Was sixth in the conference in passing at 208 yards per game and was also seventh in the conference in<br />
total offense...Finished the season 164-262 passing for 2,080 yards and 19 touchdowns...The 19 passing touchdowns was<br />
the fourth most of any player in the Big Sky...Also rushed for 130 yards on 77 attempts and six touchdowns...Threw just four<br />
interceptions during the year...His fi rst interception of the season came Oct. 15 against Idaho <strong>State</strong> and snapped a streak<br />
of 196 consecutive passes without an interception, which was the longest streak in the nation...Threw for over 200 yards in<br />
fi ve of 10 games...In his fi rst career start he was 19-28 for a career-high 314 yards and two touchdowns in WSU’s season<br />
opening game at Wyoming...Also rushed for a career-high 82 yards on 13 attempts against the Cowboys...Was 20-25 for<br />
280 yards and a career-high fi ve touchdowns in WSU’s 45-21 win at Northern Colorado on Sept. 24...For his performance<br />
in that game he was honored as the Big Sky Conference Player of the Week...Threw for four touchdowns on just 12 passing<br />
attempts in <strong>Weber</strong> <strong>State</strong>’s Homecoming win over Idaho <strong>State</strong> on Oct. 15...<br />
One of those touchdowns was a career-high 83 yard pass to Shaydon Kehano,<br />
which ranks as the eighth longest pass play in school history...Earned Big Sky<br />
Academic All-Conference honors.<br />
2010 (Sophomore)<br />
Appeared in nine games for the Wildcats as the backup quarterback...Emerged<br />
from 2010 Spring drills as the number two quarterback behind fellow Hawaiian,<br />
Cameron Higgins...Finished the season 23-36 passing for 345 passing yards...<br />
Had two touchdowns and no interceptions on the season...Was 5-8 for 43 yards<br />
in WSU’s first game of the season at Boston College...After Higgins left the game<br />
for an injury, Mike came in at Northern Arizona November 13 and was 11-15<br />
passing for 168 yards and a touchdown in leading the Wildcats to victory...His<br />
touchdown was an 80-yard completion to Joe Collins...The next week at Texas<br />
Tech Mike was 5-8 passing for 102 yards, including a 30-yard touchdown to<br />
Bo Bolen...On the season he rushed the ball 27 times for 104 yards and one<br />
touchdown...Had a career-high 27 rushing yards on seven attempts at North-<br />

ern Arizona...Recorded a two-yard touchdown rush September 25 in WSU’s<br />
Homecoming win over UC Davis.<br />
