David returns for his senior season with the Wildcats and has
established himself as one of the top cornerbacks in the Big Sky
Conference. In two seasons with the Wildcats he has appeared in
22 games and started 17. He has recorded 18 pass breakups with
55 tackles and one interception.
2012
WILDCATS
2011 (Junior)
Started in all 11 games for the Wildcats during the season...Finished
seventh in the Big Sky in passes defended with eight for an
average of 0.73 per game...Had seven pass breakups and one interception...That
interception was a 75-yard interception return for
a touchdown in WSU’s 49-17 home opening win over Sacramento
State on Sept. 17...That interception return ranks as the second
longest in Weber State history...Finished ninth on the team in tackles
with 34 with 20 unassisted and 14 assisted tackles.
2010 (Sophomore)
Played in all 11 games for the Wildcats and started in six games
in his fi rst season at WSU....Transferred to Weber State from the
University of Wyoming...Recorded 21 total tackles on the season
with 10 unassisted and 11 assisted tackles...Had three interceptions
during the season...Recorded interceptions at Boston College,
home against Eastern Washington, and home against Montana...Also
had seven pass break-ups during the season.
2009 (University of Wyoming)
Came off a red shirt year to earn a spot on the Cowboy depth
chart and played in several games but did not have stats...Red
shirted the 2008 season at Wyoming.
Edmond Memorial High School
Played free safety, wide receiver and was the kick return specialist
at Edmond Memorial HS...Was a high school teammate to current
WSU teammate Anthony Morales...Had 44 tackles and interception
on defense, caught 29 passes for 432 yards and fi ve touchdowns...
Had 245 return yards and rushed for another 183 yards...Ran a
10.65 100 meter dash time his senior season...Played under Coach
Mark Walker...Was recruited by Iowa State, Rice and Tulsa.

year as a redshirt.
2011
Sat out the season as a red shirt with the Wildcats.
South High School
Graduated from South High School in Denver where he played
for coach Tony Lindsay...Finished his senior year of 2010 with 38
receptions for 803 yards, fi nishing as the third-best receiver in the
state of Colorado...Earned First Team All-Conference and Second
Team All-State honors...Also earned high school letters in track and
fi eld and basketball...Averaged 14.3 points, four assists, and 2.3
steals per game in basketball and competed in the state track and
fi eld meet in the relay events.
