ATHLETIC COMMUNICATIONS Paul Grua is in his eighth year at Weber State. He is in his second year as the Director of Athletic Communications for Weber State Athletics. In his role, Grua serves as the primary media contact for all of WSU’s 16 NCAA sponsored sports, with specifi c responsibilities for football, men’s basketball, and men’s and women’s track and fi eld. He also helps coordinate Weber State social media and online presence. WeberStateSports.com saw a massive increase in hits during the past year. In April 2011 he was named Director of Athletic Communications. In the past season he helped promote and coordinate numerous media inquires surrounding All-American Damian Lillard and his rise to the NBA. In his eight years with Weber State Athletics Grua has worked in media relations and marketing and promotions. He began working at Weber State in January 2004 as a Sports Information Assistant, where he handled men’s and women’s Indoor and Outdoor Track and Field and Men’s and Women’s Tennis for Weber State. He served as the media coordinator for the 2004 Big Sky Tennis Championship and 2004 Big Sky Outdoor Track and Field Championships, both held in Ogden. In August 2004 he was hired full-time as the Assistant Media Relations Director. In October 2005 Grua was the media coordinator for the 2005 Big Sky Men’s and Women’s Cross Country Championships in Ogden and in 2007 he was the media coordinator for the NCAA Mountain Region Cross Country Championships, also in Ogden. He was also the Meet Director for the 2010 Big Sky Men’s and Women’s Outdoor Track and Field Championships. In 2008 Grua moved to the Marketing & Promotions department with the athletic department where he was the Assistant Marketing & Promotions Director. In 2010 he was named Marketing Coordinator and was responsible for the Marketing of all of WSU Athletics as well as game management and operations. Prior to coming to Weber State, Grua worked as the Assistant Information Director for the Big Sky Conference in the fall of 2003 where he was the league contact for women’s soccer and men’s and women’s cross country. A native of Ogden, Grua graduated from Weber State University in 2002 with a bachelor’s degree in Communication. While a student at Weber State, he served as Sports Director for both the campus radio station KWCR and the Weber State Television News station. He also helped the WSU Sports Information offi ce with the computer statistical program for men’s and women’s basketball games. He has also worked as a producer at Sports Radio AM-1280 “The Zone” in Salt Lake City and as an intern for KSL-TV. During the 2002 Salt Lake Winter Olympics he worked as a broadcasting systems operator. He is a 1995 graduate of Ogden High School. Grua is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Professional Communication from Weber State. Grua married Melissa Hales in July 2005. The couple has three children, Seth, Levi and Avery. Area media who normally cover Weber State Athletic events will receive a Press Pass good for Stadium entrance AND Parking, prior to the beginning of the season. All others desiring credentials should contact Paul Grua at least one week in advance. Requests for Press, Photography, Broadcast and Scouting passes will be honored as they are received. If time permits, they will be mailed. If not, they may be picked up at the will call window, located in the Ticket Booth on the northwest side of Stewart Stadium. Press Parking is located in the lot north of Stewart Stadium. PRESS BOX AND AREA ACCESS Press and Media members enter the Press Box facility on the sixth fl oor of the Stewart Stadium SkySuites. Passes must be presented or shown for elevator access. A wireless network is available and open to all guests. 2011 WEBER STATE FOOTBALL PHOTOGRAPHERS All photographers must have a photographers pass to gain access to the fi eld. Only photographers from working media or for WSU Media Relations purposes will be granted a pass. Per NCAA rules photographers are prohibited between the 25-yard lines. RADIO LINES There are two courtesy radio lines available in the Visiting Radio Booth, located on the sixth fl oor of the Press Box and inside the press room area. POST-GAME INTERVIEWS Coaches and player will have a mandatory 10 minute cooling off period. That period begins when all players and coaches enter the locker room. Both locker rooms are closed to the media. The post-game press interview room is located on third fl oor of the Stadium. Coaches and players will be brought to the room approximately 15 minutes after the completion of the game. 4 WEBERSTATESPORTS.COM

Visit the site for information including scores, results, schedules, videos, bios, and other information about Weber State Athletics. The site will feature live stats for all home games, as well as updated stats, bios on coaches and players, pictures, and much more. The site was redesigned in 2011. Over the past year the site has seen a dramatic increase in web visits. FOLLOW THE WILDCATS SOCIAL MEDIA Watch games on the Internet...for free For the seventh season fans can watch the Wildcats from your computer...for free. The Big Sky Conference’s video streaming web service will bring fans all football, volleyball and men’s and women’s basketball games held in league venues. Big Sky TV, the Big Sky Conference’s comprehensive video streaming, allows fans to watch all football, volleyball, and men’s and women’s basketball games held in Big Sky venues free of charge. This is the fourth season that the Big Sky has teamed with America One (formerly B2 Networks) to distribute Big Sky TV. Fans can enter Big Sky TV through bigskytv.org, or through b2tv.com. This year will also inlcue new mobile technology to make game accessible by mobile devices. Big Sky TV brings more than 400 live events to viewers around the world each season. During the 2011-12 season, more than 30,000 fans registered to view Big Sky TV events. Since its inception in the fall of 2006, Big Sky TV has produced more than 1,600 games and press conferences, including Football Championship Subdivision playoff games, as well as Big Sky volleyball, soccer, track and fi eld, and basketball championships.
