In August 2012, during announcement of the project, there were 146 stakeholders on the database.
Table 1 shows that these stakeholders represent a broad spectrum of sectors of society. The current
stakeholder database is attached as Appendix A and will be updated throughout the process.

4.1 Identification of landowners
The identification of landowners in the project area is a vital part of the stakeholder engagement
process. SRK Consulting conducted a deeds search to identify landowners directly related to the
project and adjacent to the proposed project area. The process to obtain confirmation from the
Department of Land Affairs regarding the existence of possible land claims on the proposed project
area has been initiated and confirmation from the relevant authorities is awaited.
Landownership has been confirmed through a deeds search and the landowners are indicated in
Table 2. The MNC De-Bottlenecking Project area is on the following land portion: Zwartfontein 818
LR. Figure 3 displays a map of landownership in relation to MPM mining operations.
