(Skid Resistant Neoprene Top & Internal Adjustment Bolt)<br />

Use: HM Series Housed Spring Mounts are<br />

utilized to isolate floor mounted equipment where<br />

transmission of noise and vibration (below 1200<br />

RPM) is apparent. This type of mount is most<br />

commonly used to support equipment on upper<br />

floors where structural deflection may occur.<br />

Features: Telescopic two-piece cast iron housing to<br />

stabilize spring where external motion may occur.<br />

Slotted mounting holes on base with<br />

skid-resistant pad. Mounting is facilitated by an<br />

internal adjustable leveling bolt. Springs are<br />

color-coded for load identification. Housing<br />

components are isolated by rubber acoustical<br />

pads. Larger capacity mountings are available.<br />

Typical Applications: Compressors, air handling<br />

units, centrifugal fans, pumps and other similar<br />

applications. May also be used as a vibration<br />

dampening device for pipe risers.<br />

Note: To ensure minimum effective vibration control, the spring mount must have a static deflection at least three times (3X)<br />

greater than the floor spans deflection.<br />

Spring devices are stable with a vertical and horizontal spring constant equal to one (Kx/Ky=1). A 50% additional run-out from<br />

rated capacity to solid load is also characteristic of spring type isolators.<br />
