The Riverside County Fire Department is reminding<br />
residents to annually check their smoke detectors’ batteries.<br />
Changing batteries before the old ones run out and testing<br />
all smoke detectors monthly can ensure that residents are<br />
warned in the event of a household fire. A working smoke<br />
alarm can often provide the critical extra time people need<br />
to get out to safety.<br />

Child dental assistance at HELP Center<br />
Through a grant from the California Wellness Foundation,<br />
the <strong>Idyllwild</strong> HELP Center has funds available for free dental<br />
exams and cleanings at the <strong>Idyllwild</strong> Dental Building for<br />
children without dental insurance.<br />
To sign up for an exam or for more information, call<br />
Sandy DeMann at the HELP Center at 659-2110 between 9<br />
a.m. and 4 p.m. Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays or from<br />
11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays.<br />
