17. Instruct its drivers not to solicit or accept tips from the passengers.<br />
18. Require its drivers to document on the driver sheet -- or through-another<br />
approved method -- the actual arrival time and departure time at each stop.<br />
19. Require all drivers to dress professionally and carry an identification badge.<br />
The identification badge shall have on it: the driver’s picture, name, and name<br />
of the Provider. The WCOFD reserves the right to require inappropriately<br />
attired drivers to be immediately removed from providing Services.<br />
9.8 Dispatchers and Dispatching Duties<br />
1. Employ a sufficient number of qualified, responsible, courteous, and properly<br />
trained dispatchers necessary to properly operate a high level of <strong>ParaTransit</strong><br />
service. Dispatchers should fulfill dispatching duties one hour before service<br />
hours, during service hours and 1/2 hour after the last vehicle has returned to<br />
base at the end of service hours.<br />
2. Assure that dispatchers attend the sensitivity training course, policy and<br />
procedures training course, and computer training course prior to providing<br />
services.<br />
3. Assure that the dispatcher’s responsibilities are dedicated exclusively to the<br />
<strong>Westchester</strong> <strong>County</strong> <strong>ParaTransit</strong> program during his/her shift.<br />
4. Assure that dispatchers review driver schedules prior to start of scheduled<br />
service.<br />
5. Assure that dispatchers monitor driver schedules during service hours.<br />
6. Assure that dispatchers are able to contact all vehicles via a communication<br />
system.<br />
7. Assure that dispatchers are familiar with the computerized scheduling and<br />
dispatching system.<br />
8. Assure that dispatchers receive and enter immediately into the computer system<br />
advance (prior to trip date) cancellations from the WC, and same day<br />
cancellations from the customer (on the trip date).<br />
9. Assure that dispatchers immediately enter NSH and CAD information into<br />
computer system when driver transmits same via radio system.<br />
10. Assure that there are a sufficient number of dispatchers assigned to this<br />
contract to operate a high level of <strong>ParaTransit</strong> service.<br />
