REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS (RFP) Notice is hereby given that the <strong>Westchester</strong> <strong>County</strong> Department of Public Works and Transportation is soliciting proposals to provide <strong>Innovative</strong> For Hire Car services for a portion of riders of the <strong>County</strong>’s <strong>Bee</strong>-<strong>Line</strong> Paratransit system in compliance with the requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, as amended, and Section 15-c of the New York State Transportation Law. All proposers are required to attend a mandatory proposers meeting on April 12, 2013 at 11:00 AM in Room 527 of the Michaelian Office Building, 148 Martine Ave., White Plains, New York 10601. The deadline for all technical questions is April 17, 2013. Proposals received after the deadline for receipt of proposals will be considered late and will be returned unopened to the proposer. The expected start date of the contract associated with this RFP is August 1, 2013. All proposers will be required to comply with all applicable Equal Opportunity laws and regulations. Pursuant to Local Law No. 27-1997, it is the goal of the <strong>County</strong> to encourage and support significant, meaningful participation by business enterprises owned and controlled by people of color and/or women (MBE/WBE) in contracts and projects funded by the <strong>County</strong>.
