West Pontnewydd
Fun Day
Cwmbran North Area Forum
meets on a monthly basis.
They were keen to raise the
profile of their group and
recruit new members. They
also expressed a wish to
develop community forum in
their local area. The West
Pontnewydd Community
Team supported them to do
this.
The event was designed
and delivered in
partnership with the
area forum and
community first. The aim
of the event was to
engage with all ages
living in the community
and offer opportunities
for them to get more
involved.
At the event Bron Afon
and partners provided a
range of information

with 186 age range from
a few months to over
80.

signed up.
Positive consultation
with 52 questionnaires
completed identifying
local issues.
40 people registered for
future Area Forums
First community forum
planned for Autumn
