Petr Houška worked for more than 20 years in tourism public<br />
administration. During his activities in this area he represented the Czech<br />
Republic in the <strong>Tourism</strong> Advisory Committee <strong>of</strong> the European<br />
Commission. He is also an expert <strong>of</strong> the National St<strong>and</strong>ardization Autority<br />
(ÚNMZ) for st<strong>and</strong>ardization <strong>of</strong> tourism services within the European<br />
Committee for St<strong>and</strong>ardization (CEN) <strong>and</strong> International St<strong>and</strong>ardization<br />
Organization (ISO). He has participated in the development <strong>of</strong> national<br />
<strong>and</strong> international tourism st<strong>and</strong>ards, such as the EN 15 565 „<strong>Tourism</strong><br />
services – Requirements for the provision <strong>of</strong> pr<strong>of</strong>essional tourist guide<br />
training <strong>and</strong> qualification programmes <strong>and</strong> the EN 13 809 „<strong>Tourism</strong><br />
services – Travel agencies <strong>and</strong> tour operators – Terminology.<br />
