Cylinder Heads<br />
For 1940-’47 OHV Big Twin Engines<br />
Flathead Power® KN-Series cylinder heads can be used as replacement heads for al KN-Series engines<br />
and can be used on stock and modified 1936-’47, 61" and 74" OHV engines. Like stock, all KN Series<br />
heads have the fire ring machining for 61" models that was maintained in stock 74" models thru 1947.<br />
Heads are cast from high quality engineering- grade grey iron, and have a stock-look black powdercoat<br />
finish. The larger 1.940" diameter intake valve and a stock 1.750" diameter exhaust valve, allows them to<br />
handle the larger displacement of the KN93 engines, but works as a high performance upgrade for 61"<br />
and 74" engines as well. These heads are drilled with the stock bolt pattern. However, head bolt holes are<br />
7/16" -20 thread and will not work with stock 7/16" - 16 thread head bolts. (Stock 1948-'65 head bolts can<br />
be used in stock bore applications and are available on page 5-52, big bore applications must use the S&S<br />
12 point head bolt also found on page 5-52)<br />
