Purpose
shdisc
Create a discontinuous element shape function object.
Syntax
Description
obj = shdisc(mdim,order,basename)
The discontinuous element shape function object is used to implement finite
elements of discontinuous type on any mesh element type.
obj = shdisc(mdim, order, basename) mdim is the maximum dimension of the
element, order is the default element order, and basename is a string.
For more information, see “Discontinuous Elements” on page 637 in the
Since COMSOL Multiphysics 3.2 the meaning of the degrees of freedom has
changed. This means that you have to re-solve models made in earlier versions of
COMSOL Multiphysics that include discontinuous elements .
