shdiv
Purpose
shdiv
Create a divergence shape function object.
Syntax
Description
obj = shdiv(order,fieldname)
obj = shdiv(order,fieldname) The divergence shape function object is used to
implement finite elements of divergence type of order order on any type of mesh
element. fieldname is a string with the field name or a cell array containing the
names of the field components.
For more information, see “Divergence Elements” on page 639 in the COMSOL
Multiphysics User’s Guide.
Compatibility
Since COMSOL Multiphysics 3.2 the meaning of the degrees of freedom has
changed. This means that you have to re-solve models made in earlier versions of
COMSOL Multiphysics that include divergence elements.
The syntax obj = shdiv(fieldname) is obsolete but still works in COMSOL
Multiphysics 3.3.
