The original design Special Tuning gear ratio set is available in three<br />

versions. Remote type and two rod type gear kits A series and A+. A series<br />

main shaft has 14mm nose into 1st motion shaft and A+ has 18mm nose<br />

on main shaft.<br />

Lightweight steel flywheels<br />

Using a lightweight steel flywheel has the same effect as lightening the car.<br />

Reducing the mass of rotating components in the engine helps the engine<br />

accelerate more easily leading to better acceleration of the car.<br />

These high quality steel flywheels are considerably lighter than the standard<br />

cast items and offer improved strength and a harder wearing clutch face.<br />

Their symmetrical design means they also reduce harmonic vibrations.<br />

We offer flywheels in two specification; Roadlite and Racelite. Roadlite<br />

flywheels weigh in at 5kgs (11lbs), half the weight of a standard 1275cc.<br />

Our Racelite flywheels weigh in at just 3.63kgs (8lbs) for maximum weight<br />

saving in competition engines and are manufactured from EN8 grade steel.<br />

Central oil pick up pipe<br />

The standard oil pick up pipe is located to the RH side of the gearbox and<br />

oil surge during cornering can send the oil away from the pick up. This<br />

central oil pick up relocates the pick up point to the centre of the gearbox<br />

ensuring it is always submerged. We recommend you fit this if you rebuild<br />

the engine or gearbox.<br />

The much sought after 22G270 ‘S’ clutch back plate has been out of<br />

production for many years, but has now been replaced with CAHT230. It<br />

was liked because of its strength. Although not steel, it was cast in a very high<br />

grade iron, the exact same material used here. This item is cast fairly light<br />

3.56.lbs (Std 5.7lb), but can be lightened further if required, call for details.<br />

Anodised dipstick<br />

These are beautifully crafted dip sticks which use two rubber<br />

‘O’ rings to secure them into the engine, with a choice of either<br />

a red or blue anodised knob.<br />
