Electric fuel pump kits and regulators<br />

These fuel pumps and pressure regulators are for non injection<br />

Minis only. If you have a modified engine in your Mini and you are using<br />

the standard mechanical fuel pump you may experience fuel starvation. If<br />

this occurs the fitting of an electric pump should solve the problem. The<br />

fitting of a filter/regulator is also worthwhile allowing exact matching of<br />

flow and pressure to the carburation set-up.<br />

Anti-run on valve<br />

This valve opens when you turn off the ignition dumping air into the inlet<br />

manifold preventing the engine running-on.<br />

Cubed fuel pump<br />

These solid state pumps must be mounted at the rear of the car, ideally below<br />

fuel tank level. They must have a filter union on the suction side of the pump.<br />

Fuel pump inertia switch kit<br />

This inertia switch is a good safety feature when using an electric fuel pump.<br />

The unit mounts to a vertical surface in the engine bay and in the unfortunate<br />

event of a crash cuts the power to the fuel pump preventing fuel spillage.<br />

Supplied with multi connector and tail leads to allow easy connections.<br />

Battery-cut off switches<br />

Battery cut-off switches are a good idea for all cars.<br />

Fitting one enables you to quickly isolate the battery<br />

and immobilise the car; ideal when working on your<br />

car, or if you intend to put your car into storage. Use<br />

with a battery conditioner, see our website or Restoration Tools catalogue.<br />

In-line cut-off switches<br />

These cut-off switches need to be fitted into the main battery to starter cable.<br />

The body of the switch should be mounted securely to the car and cables<br />

fitted using the terminal kit. Battery cut-off switches are obligatory for<br />

competition cars and should be fitted with a cable for remote access. A bypass<br />

fuse can also be used to allow operation of clocks, alarms, etc... if required.<br />

Battery mounted cut-off switches<br />

These cut-off switches simply mount to the battery post and feature a screwin<br />

knob to break the circuit. Available with a bypass fuse to allow sufficient<br />

current to pass to operate clocks, alarms and coded radios, but if any<br />

attempt is made to start the car the fuse will blow.<br />
