Duplex gear set
It is preferable to change from single row chain (simplex) to twin row chain
(duplex) as the duplex is less prone to stretching. The cam timing can also
be optimised via an adjustable cam gear, or via offset cam keys. Please see
manufacturers data for correct timing figures.

5 port alloy cylinder head 1275cc
Alloy head casting with improved water jackets particularly around the
exhaust ports and 12mm spark plug. By using the smaller spark plug it has
been better positioned for cylinder burn. Out of the box the port gas flows
as good as a well modified iron head.
The valves are positioned slightly further apart giving the possibility of
38mm and 32mm valves being fitted. The standard head comes with 23cc
chambers with plenty of scope of enlarging for turbo applications. The valve
inserts give unleaded capability. Deck thickness gives plenty of scope for
skimming (increasing C/R).

Our competition valves are produced in EN214N steel and require
installation with bronze valve guides (TMG10819). They are single groove
collets (88G459).

Rimflow valves are considered to be the best valves on the market. Produced
in EN214N steel but they have chromed plated stems to enable them to be
installed with iron guides although we recommend bronze guides as these
help with heat dissipation. Rimflow valves use single groove collets (88G459).
