STATEMENT OF VISION<br />

George C. <strong>Wallace</strong> <strong>Community</strong> <strong>College</strong> will be a leading community college, nationally<br />
recognized for excellence and innovation in education and student success. The<br />
<strong>College</strong> will be the primary choice of citizens preparing for the job market, seeking an<br />
associate or advanced degree, and/or pursuing career advancement or personal<br />
development. <strong>College</strong> partnerships with area schools, business and industry, and<br />
governmental agencies will contribute to an educational system that enhances<br />
economic development and quality of life in the region.<br />
STRATEGIC INITIATIVES<br />
1. To demonstrate the <strong>College</strong>’s commitment to quality teaching and learning through<br />
increased student success and continuous improvement in instructional programs.<br />
2. To enhance access to educational opportunities through alternative instructional<br />
delivery and achieve a larger and more diverse student enrollment.<br />
3. To provide educational programs, services, and workforce development that are<br />
responsive to the changing economic, demographic, and cultural needs of the<br />
region.<br />
4. To improve services in support of student success and enhance the collegiate<br />
experience through greater student engagement.<br />
5. To enhance communication, cooperation, and collaboration among divisions and<br />
across campuses to achieve greater synergy with the <strong>College</strong>.<br />
6. To provide administrative support and adequate resources to ensure the quality of<br />
programs, services, and operations while maintaining a safe and secure campus<br />
learning environment.<br />
