Description<br />

Navitas Workforce Solutions has established<br />

a specialist division to offer internships and<br />

graduate employment support services<br />

Australia-wide to international students and<br />

graduates. Our main focus is to develop<br />

relationships with key market leaders to<br />

provide the very best internships and related<br />

services to our participants. We are committed<br />

to developing the workplace skills of our<br />

clients and recognise that a highly skilled and<br />

capable workforce is critical to optimal business<br />

performance. All of our program participants<br />

have the opportunity to develop practical work<br />

skills through a practical work placement. They<br />

will participate in local work life through an<br />

internship with Australian or multinational host<br />

companies.<br />

What We Offer <strong>Curtin</strong>’s Graduates<br />

The PROFESSIONAL YEAR PROGRAM<br />

is designed to assist international student<br />

graduates (IT, Engineering and Accounting)<br />

gain employment in their chosen career; as<br />

well as give eligibility for migration points<br />

towards permanent residence. It is a 44 week<br />

DIAC approved program including a 12 week<br />

internship.<br />

NWS also offers a range of INTERNSHIPS for<br />

international and domestic students or recent<br />

graduates who want to discover something<br />

new about themselves and the world of work<br />

in Australia. Our program participants spend<br />

8-26 weeks working in their chosen industry<br />

alongside Australian professionals in a host<br />

organisation. Navitas Workforce Solutions<br />

and your host organisation will develop a<br />

customised training plan and allocate a mentor<br />

so you will get the most out of your internship<br />

and professional experience.<br />

The ENGINEERING EXPERIENCE PROGRAM<br />

assists Engineering graduates in developing the<br />

key skills needed to secure employment and<br />

be effective in the workplace. After 4 weeks of<br />

work readiness training the program concludes<br />

with a 12 week professional internship with<br />

participants likely to secure placements with<br />

leading WA based organisations.<br />

Description<br />

The NEXT STEP Mentoring Program matches senior (final and penultimate) year students to<br />

<strong>Curtin</strong> Alumni with the same or similar degree. Students meet their mentor approximately 4-6 time<br />

over 6 months.<br />

By speaking to an industry professional before graduation, students can:<br />

• develop a greater understanding of what is expected of them when they graduate;<br />

• gain more knowledge about employers in their field; and<br />

• feel more confident about the job application process.<br />

What We Seek In <strong>Curtin</strong>’s Students/Graduates?<br />

We are seeking motivated students who are keen to learn more about graduate employment in<br />

their field. Students need to commit to a minimum of 8 hours over 6 months to complete the<br />

program.<br />

How To Apply<br />

The program runs from April until October each year. Students can apply (online) at the beginning<br />

of the academic year. Students answer a few questions to complete the application process.<br />

Students are matched if there is a mentor available from a relevant discipline or industry.<br />
