should even expect that the taking away of the spiritual service of the daily minister of Jesus in heaven,
which led to a false worship, and to false priests, and to a false faith, or fallen truth within the church on
earth, would also bring about a destruction of the spiritual city of God, which is the true church, or the true
people of God. And that’s exactly what Daniel 11, 32-34, was predicting.
• The example in the OT-Time
By the way, we have the same type of process in connection with the destruction of the OT-temple by the
Babylonien. First the Israelites gave up the truth, the true worship, and the true priests, and the consequence
was the destruction of holy city, the temple, the people, and finally also the persecution of the true remnant.

• The repetition in NT-Time
What we find now in the NT- Time is exactly such a repetition in the history of the NT-Church. In the first
centuries we can observe a getting away from true worship, true priests, and the truth as such.
The next step was a political development that led to the complete destruction of the spiritual sanctuary,
and to the persecution of the true remnant believers during centuries. We just have to go in history, and look
for the fulfillment of this prophecy in the early medial church, when the papacy began to rule over the
church, and even over the kingdoms in Europe.
But what we still want to notice about Daniel 11,31-35 is that we do not find there a prophecy about the
exact time, when it would happen. But does the prophecy also talk about the time? We already saw it before
in this paper. But what is to be the exact time for the beginning of the taking away of the daily, and the
setting up of the abomination of desolation? When would this time end, or how long would it last? Do we
get this information in the book of Daniel?
The time for “the taking away of the daily” and the setting up of “the abomination of desolation”
It is interesting to note that Daniel 8, 11-14 does not tell us the exact time, when the little horn will begin
with his actions against the sanctuary, and against the host. It only says, that it would be so in the time of
the upcoming of the “little horn” power, and that it would continue till the coming of Christ. But before
that, there would be a time for God, where he would start to interact, and to do something for his people,
and his truth in “cleansing the sanctuary.”
The time for the beginning of the cleansing of the sanctuary would be 2300 years after the time, when in
old-testament time the order was given to rebuild the literal sanctuary, and the literal town of Jerusalem.
(Dan. 9,24) The prophecy in Daniel 8 and 9 does not precise the exact time for the beginning of the
desolation in history, and therefore we do not know yet either, how long exactly this time of desolation of
the sanctuary would really last. It just says, at what time the purifying process of the sanctuary, which
would last till the very end of time, would begin!
