Most <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong>se words, as we saw, can be found in a context <strong>of</strong> a end time-purific<strong>at</strong>ion-process! <strong>The</strong> main<br />

idea from all this words is sure <strong>the</strong> idea <strong>of</strong> getting pure, clean, holy, justified, reconciled, <strong>and</strong> restored.<br />

This idea corresponds quite well to wh<strong>at</strong> <strong>the</strong> bible says about getting free from sin in general. Sin always is<br />

a factor <strong>of</strong> defilement, while <strong>the</strong> blood <strong>of</strong> Jesus cleans <strong>and</strong> makes pure <strong>and</strong> holy. <strong>The</strong> sinner has to get clean<br />

<strong>and</strong> holy as God is clean, pure <strong>and</strong> holy. In doing th<strong>at</strong> in behalf <strong>of</strong> sinners, God justifies himself in <strong>the</strong><br />

purified <strong>and</strong> justified people! (Ez. 36, 23)<br />

All this is <strong>the</strong> work th<strong>at</strong> <strong>the</strong> New Testament defines by justific<strong>at</strong>ion, sanctific<strong>at</strong>ion <strong>and</strong> finally by<br />

glorific<strong>at</strong>ion. But <strong>the</strong> way, how to get <strong>the</strong>re is by faith in Jesus, <strong>and</strong> by getting refined, tested, examined,<br />

<strong>and</strong> tried through suffering <strong>and</strong> tempt<strong>at</strong>ions.<br />

It is <strong>the</strong> divine work in cooper<strong>at</strong>ion with <strong>the</strong> sinner, to bring man back, where he was in <strong>the</strong> beginning: <strong>The</strong><br />

perfect image <strong>of</strong> God. So this purific<strong>at</strong>ion process has finally to do with a work <strong>of</strong> restor<strong>at</strong>ion, or<br />

restitution!<br />

Evidently <strong>the</strong> apostle Peter spoke <strong>of</strong> th<strong>at</strong> restitution, when he preached about Christ, “whom <strong>the</strong> heaven<br />

must receive until <strong>the</strong> times <strong>of</strong> restitution <strong>of</strong> all things, which God has spoken by <strong>the</strong> mouth <strong>of</strong> all his holy<br />

prophets since <strong>the</strong> world began.<br />

This text does not say, th<strong>at</strong> Jesus would come to restitute all things, but he would come, when all things are<br />

restituted! So a gre<strong>at</strong> work <strong>of</strong> restitution has to be accomplished before he could come.<br />

Here we have ano<strong>the</strong>r idea, which I think we should still mention in connection to <strong>the</strong> cleansing or<br />

justific<strong>at</strong>ion <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> sanctuary.<br />
