SuperSweep Operation
SuperSweep Operation
The programmable sweep produces beam sweep patterns by varying
the current in the coils of the e-beam source.
The SS64 is a hardware device that controls the intensity and pattern
of the e-beam, which is created by an e-beam gun. The SS64
EEPROM can store up to 64 wave pattern recipes. The following
options allow you to modify values of the wave pattern (along the x-
and y-axes):
• wave selection
• amplitude
• frequency
• position
• emission current
Also, the SS64 system includes a PC software component that allows
you to create and modify wave pattern recipes and to control the
SS64 unit remotely. Further discussion on this will follow.
Definitions
The following SS64 system features and functions are identified and
defined below.
Amplitude
Amplitude refers to the maximum latitudinal or longitudinal position
of the waveform. It is displayed as a percent of Full Scale.
